Minimal School Pride

It's disheartening to see how many students these days have totally zero school pride. They don't feel about their school, they don't engage in programs, and they just seem uninterested. It's like they've disregarded what it means to be part of a group and believe in their fellow students. This lack of spirit is negative to the entire school atmosphere.

This Isn't My Old School

When I read the words "alma mater|my old school|the place where I learned}", it doesn't read more spark feelings of warmth and nostalgia. For me, it's a unfamiliar concept. Maybe because my time there were so different, or perhaps I simply haven't had the time to look back. Whatever the reason, that phrase doesn't have the same significance for me as it does for others.

It's not that I haven't appreciated my time at school. It was a time of learning, just not one that sticks with me in the way many people describe.

Perhaps it's because I made my passions outside the traditional school setting. Or maybe it's because my memories are defined by different experiences. Whatever the case, "Not My Alma Mater|My School Is Different|This Isn't My Old School", and that's perfectly okay.
